Journals designed to deepen one’s relationship with self.
The Sis That Journals offers a collection of journals that celebrate Black Womanhood, community care, and cute shit! Each journal is designed to provide a safe space to go inward and explore self.
Customers have shared that their journals have been used for everything from documenting cancer journeys, to note taking for architectural school, to therapy assignments, to just good ol releasing. They have been given as birthday and graduation gifts, and as offerings during times of need.
With over 30 designs, there is something for everyone. The daily journaling girlies, and the folks that are just giving this journaling thing a try. There is a mix of matte and glossy finishes, and a few have light quotes and affirmations. However, The Sis That Journals’ collection does not offer many guides, as they are designed for you to curate and create your personal journaling experience.
Regardless of where you are in your journaling journey, The Sis That Journals believes there are no rules when it comes to journaling!

You Are Your Best Thing Healing Retreat: Houston Edition 2023
The You Are Your Best Thing Healing Retreat was a powerful two-day experience all around nurturing the mind, body, and soul through movement, workshops around self, and journaling. This retreat was in collaboration with The Sis That Journals and two bad ass Texas Women, Nadie Roberson of Freedom Therapy and body worker/racial justice leader, Aja Holston-Barber. This Kentucky-Texas mash-up was a true reflection of sisterhood, collaboration, and Black Girl Brilliance.
